Standard & Customized Training
Mesh Processing & Alignment Clean, organize, and position scan data.

Prepare scanned meshes using available editing, cleanup, reduction, smoothing, and alignment tools before reconstruction begins.

Practice output: Cleaned and aligned scan geometry ready for modeling.
Standard & Customized Training
Primitive & Feature Extraction Recover useful geometry from scanned parts.

Identify and extract geometric primitives, reference features, and other useful geometry from the mesh to support CAD reconstruction.

Practice output: Reference geometry prepared for sketching and modeling.
Standard & Customized Training
2D & 3D Sketching Turn scan geometry into controlled CAD sketches.

Create sketches from scan data and use dimensions, constraints, sections, and reference geometry to rebuild the shape and design intent of the part.

Practice output: Sketch geometry ready for parametric reconstruction.
Standard & Customized Training
Parametric CAD Modeling Reconstruct editable mechanical geometry.

Use features such as extrude, revolve, sweep, loft, fillets, chamfers, patterns, and other modeling operations to rebuild the scanned part as editable CAD geometry.

Practice output: A structured CAD model based on the scanned component.
Standard & Customized Training
Freeform & Hybrid Modeling Combine surface reconstruction with parametric CAD.

Work with freeform geometry, Auto Surfacing, fitted surfaces, and hybrid modeling techniques for parts that combine mechanical and organic shapes.

Practice output: A model combining parametric and freeform reconstruction where appropriate.
Standard & Customized Training
Model Review & CAD Export Check the reconstruction and prepare it for downstream use.

Review the reconstructed geometry against the original mesh and prepare the completed model for export into supported CAD formats and downstream engineering workflows.

Practice output: A reviewed model prepared for CAD handoff.
Standard & Customized Training
Practical Reverse Engineering Workflow Bring preparation, reconstruction, and export together.

Apply the workflow to a guided reverse engineering example that combines mesh preparation, alignment, feature extraction, modeling, review, and CAD export.

Practice output: A completed scan-to-CAD project using the agreed training workflow.
Standard & Customized Training

What is included in EXModel Pro Standard Training?

Standard Training follows a structured reverse engineering curriculum covering the core EXModel Pro scan-to-CAD workflow.

Topics can include mesh preparation, alignment, primitive extraction, sketching, parametric modeling, freeform reconstruction, model review, and CAD export.

Exact exercises and topic depth are confirmed before training based on your experience and agreed scope.

Should I choose Standard or Customized Training?

Choose Standard Training if you want a structured introduction to the main EXModel Pro workflow and tools.

Choose Customized Training if you already have a specific part, scan dataset, reconstruction challenge, or engineering objective you want the training to address.

Is EXModel Pro training suitable for beginners?

Yes. Standard Training can begin with the EXModel Pro interface, scan import, mesh preparation, alignment, and core modeling concepts.

Previous CAD or reverse engineering experience can be helpful, but the starting point can be adjusted to your current knowledge.

Can Customized Training use our own scan data and parts?

Potentially, yes.

Customized Training can be scoped around your own parts, mesh data, reconstruction goals, and existing workflow. Before scheduling, we will review whether the data is suitable for training and confirm any confidentiality, compatibility, and scope requirements.

Does training cover Auto Surfacing, freeform modeling, and hybrid modeling?

Yes, these topics can be included in the agreed EXModel Pro training scope.

They are particularly useful when reconstructing geometry that cannot be represented efficiently using only traditional parametric solid features.

Can training cover parametric CAD modeling?

Yes.

Training can include 2D and 3D sketching, dimensions, constraints, solid-modeling operations, and other tools used to reconstruct editable CAD geometry from scanned parts.

What CAD export workflows can training cover?

Training can cover supported CAD export workflows based on the software, file formats, and downstream engineering process you use.

EXModel Pro supports CAD-oriented output including STEP and IGES workflows documented in the product materials.

Do I need an EXModel Pro license or a 3D scanner?

Software access requirements are confirmed before training.

A connected 3D scanner is not required for every course because training can work with existing scan files. If the agreed workflow requires specific hardware, software, or sample data, those requirements will be confirmed before the session.

How long does training take, and what does it cost?

Training duration and pricing are quote-based.

The final scope depends on the selected topics, participant experience, number of attendees, application requirements, and whether you choose Standard or Customized Training.

We do not publish an hourly rate. Contact 3D Wonders for a training quote based on your requirements.

Can we request individual or team training?

Yes. Training can be arranged for individuals or teams.

For team training, share the number of participants, experience levels, and the workflows or applications you want to cover so the scope can be planned appropriately.
