What is included in Standard Geomagic Control X Training?

Standard Training follows a structured inspection curriculum matched to your Control X edition.

Topics can include measured-data preparation, reference geometry, alignment, 3D and 2D comparison, dimensional inspection, GD&T, reporting, and repeatable inspection workflows.

Exact exercises and topic depth are confirmed before training based on your edition, experience level, and agreed scope.

Should I choose Essentials, Essentials Connect, or Professional training?

Choose the training option that matches the Control X edition you currently use.

Essentials covers the core inspection workflow. Essentials Connect adds connected portable metrology and scanning workflows, while Professional provides access to more advanced analysis, native data, multi-result inspection, and automation capabilities.

Share your edition when requesting a quote so the training can be matched to your software.

Is Geomagic Control X training suitable for beginners?

Yes. Standard Training can begin with the Control X interface, data types, basic inspection concepts, alignment, comparison, and reporting.

Familiarity with 3D scanning, CAD, dimensional inspection, or GD&T can be helpful, but the starting point can be adjusted to your current experience.

Can Customized Training use our own scan data, CAD models, or parts?

Potentially, yes.

Customized Training can be scoped around your own scan data, CAD references, drawings, inspection requirements, and workflow challenges.

Before scheduling, we will review data suitability and confirm any confidentiality, compatibility, equipment, and scope requirements.

Does training cover GD&T and dimensional inspection?

Yes. Training can cover selected dimensional and geometric tolerance workflows based on your inspection requirements, experience level, software edition, and agreed scope.

Does training cover repeat inspection and automation?

Repeat inspection can be covered across Control X editions using reusable inspection workflows and replacement measured data.

More advanced automation topics such as Scan Process, batch processing, Visual Scripting, Python Scripting, or Automation Server require Professional and may be scoped separately.

Do I need a Control X license or a connected scanner?

Software access requirements are confirmed before training.

A connected scanner is not required for every course because many inspection exercises can use existing measured data. If training includes live scanning, probing, or device control, the required hardware and software setup will be confirmed in advance.

How long does training take, and what does it cost?

Training duration and pricing are quote-based.

The final scope depends on your Control X edition, selected topics, participant experience, connected equipment, number of attendees, and whether you choose Standard or Customized Training.

We do not publish an hourly rate. Contact 3D Wonders for a quote based on your requirements.

Can we request individual or team training?

Yes. Training can be arranged for individuals or teams.

For team training, share the number of participants, experience levels, Control X editions, connected equipment, and inspection workflows you want to cover.
